You are invited to ARISU; the debut solo exhibition of drawings by Alice Baldwin.ARISU is an exhibition of drawings by Manchester based visual artist and illustrator Alice Baldwin. Alice Baldwin explores the creation of small narratives that discuss the line between the real and the imagined. For this exhibition she presents a series of drawings that focus on both the experimentation of the illustrated line and capturing moments of characters and objects. Each drawing is a metaphor of a personal response to her understanding of reality and though each is created in their own right; they all share a common language playing out ambiguous narratives of hidden thoughts of real or imagined fears and desires.ARISU is exhibited at The Deaf Institute, Manchester from 1st May until 1st September.Preview: Monday 30th April 7pm-9pmFor more information contact:alice.baldwin87@googlemail.comartofarisu.tumblr.com
